What Makes Hedgehogs Home Special

Although one of our smaller self-catering cottages, Hedgehogs Home provides plenty of space for a weekend or week away in the Northampton countryside. It is one of our newer cottages, renovated to the same high-quality standard as our other stays.

Creating a light, airy and contemporary space, we’ve purposely retained authentic features such as the wooden beams and exposed brick walls, which bring a touch of charm and character.

What Makes Partridge Place Special

With its own private side door entrance, Partridge Place is situated within the old dairy of Tove Valley. It has been renovated to provide a relaxing and peaceful countryside stay in the heart of Northamptonshire. Inside, the interior has been designed with home comforts in mind, ensuring you have everything you need, from an ensuite shower and fresh bed linen to a wide-screen TV and high-end kitchen. Outside, you’re within walking distance of beautiful country strolls, a peaceful patio area and communal BBQ facilities.

What Makes Hares Scrape Special

Hares Scrape is located in one of the oldest and most significant parts of the farm. Previously part of the old dairy, this building would have been where milk was stored to make products such as butter, cream, and cheese. These products would have been a lifeline for the family at the time, either for themselves or as a financial investment.

By maintaining the structure and features of the old dairy, we keep its history and spirit alive, honouring the importance of this space and renovating it into a cosy and peaceful country staycation.

What Makes Mole Hole Special

Part of the original dairy on the farm, Mole Hole, has been converted into a snug two-bed cottage in the heart of the Northampton countryside. As a significant part of the farm’s history, we deliberately retained the exposed brick to add some personality to this cosy little nook.

What Makes Mouse House Special

Like its name, Mouse House is small and sweet. It played an essential role in the dairy as this was the part of the farm where all the milk was processed, churning it into smooth butter or delicious cheese.

During the renovation, we aimed to maintain as many of its authentic features as possible, such as the exposed beams and brick walls. To preserve the shape of this cottage, we created a doorway 1.7 metres high. Although it is a cute addition to the aesthetics, it may only be practical for some, and there are two other doorways you can use.

What Makes Foxes Den Special

Previously used to home the farm’s horses, the stables have been stylishly converted into a modern cottage getaway to now home families and friends. Its standout feature includes an entire wall of double-glazed windows, which flood the cottage with natural light and give guests panoramic views of the countryside.

In keeping with the style of this conversion, the front door is 1.6 metres high. However, if you’re a little taller, there are two other entrances you can use.

What Makes Otters Holt Special

We’ve converted the exposed cart hovel where livestock and carts would have once stood into a beautiful country cottage for others to experience. Set in the stunning Northampton countryside, you can enjoy peace and quiet, soaking up the beautiful views surrounding you. Or, how about making the most of our communal courtyard and BBQ that Otters Holt conveniently opens onto?

What Makes Owls Hoot Special

Take a step back into history and stay in an old milking parlour. This space was originally used to milk the dairy cows on the farm before taking the milk to the dairy to be churned into butter or cheese. Keeping the main structure of the parlour, we’ve modernised the interior to create a wonderful family holiday cottage.

What Makes Badgers Sett Special

A farm’s granary requires a large space to store grain and food for its livestock. That’s why we knew this building was the ideal place to create a spacious holiday cottage. Our conversion included installing a state-of-the-art kitchen, double-glazed windows, and an interior that complemented the exposed brick of the original structure.

In keeping with the building’s style and features, we’ve had to include two low-level roof trusses on the upper floor. These are 17 metres high, adding a unique charm to the rooms while still allowing ample headroom.

What Makes Pheasants Roost Special

Where cattle once happily grazed, a remarkable self-catering cottage now stands. Renovated with a modern interior, including heated floors and country-chic decor, it maintains the uniqueness of this former cow byre with exposed brick and wooden beams.

The floor-to-ceiling double-glazed windows and doors minimise noise for a peaceful stay while allowing plenty of natural light. Outside, you and your group can enjoy lovely country walks or relax in our charming courtyard. For kids, there’s a wishing well to explore and a children’s playground within walking distance.
